Surroundings and such...

I didn't get a chance to write anything yesterday so today I will post two photographs.  I am hoping to search for some fossils this weekend.

Some Old Finds

I did not go out into the fog and coastal diggings as I was a child chauffeur today.  I was also worried about another dizzy spell and falling onto the rocks where I would be searching for the next fossil...and no one would find me and then the tide would take me out into the crashing surf.  No, no, no the thought of that is just too much!  Especially since I would get in the news!  So instead, here are some previous finds....

 The rounded part is not the fossil, but sediment.  Part of the fossilized bone broke away from the sediment as you can see from the lower portion.  I will post more of this fossil later.  I think it is a whale bone.

I discovered these in my yard after I dug a hole for a plant!  The local cats getting lazy.

Today's Update

I did not find a fossil today, however I saw some at the local museum I visited!
